Juniors programs

The HFTC is offering the following programs for JUNIORS aged 6-17

These programs provide specialized instruction in tennis from Certified TPA (Tennis Professionals Association) coaches, offering a combination of tennis-specific drills, point play situations, footwork, agility, and speed development.

The low ratio of juniors to coaches is a focus of ours to improve all levels of play and provide the optimum environment for safety, learning, and tennis development.

Important to our goal is sportsmanship. The ability to socially interact and get along with others is of primary importance, and emphasized daily in our camp.

Whether your child is interested in learning the game, recreational play or aspiring to become a professional level athlete, we have the right program and qualified staff to help them reach their tennis goals.

If your child is attending the full day, please provide a nut-free lunch. Water and snack will be provided. Please note any medical or food sensitivities issues to our coaches. Racquets and balls will be provided.

  • Juniors – Spring After-School Program:
    • Dates: May to June – 8 weeks
    • Days: Mondays-Friday
    • Two sessions: 4:00 to 5:30 PM and 5:30 to 7:00 PM
    • Maximum attendance: 18 on 2 courts
    • Coach: Ed Wilson
  • Juniors – Summer Camp:
    • Dates: June  to September  – 9 weeks
    • Days: Mondays-Friday
    • Sessions: 
      • AM: 9:00 to 12:00 PM – 3 hrs
      • PM: 1:00 to 4 PM – 3 hrs
      • Both AM + PM are possible
    • Maximum attendance: 18 on 2 court
    • AM or PM
    • Coaches: Ed Wilson
  • Juniors – Fall After-School Program:
    • Dates: September  to October  – 4 weeks
    • Days: Mondays-Friday
    • Two sessions: 4:00 to 5:30 PM and 5:30 to 7:00 PM
      • one session = 7 weeks  x 1 evening x 90 min
    • Maximum attendance: 18 on 2 courts
    • Coach: Ed Wilson
  • Juniors – Saturdays PM lessons:
    • 3 Cycles:
      • May  to June  – 6 Saturdays
      • June to July – 6 Saturdays
      • August to September – 6 Saturdays
    • 60 minutes: 1:00 to 2:00 PM; or 2:00 to 3:00 PM; or 3:00 to 4:00 PM
    • Maximum attendance: 6 on 1 court
    • Coach: Ed Wilson
  • Juniors – Hi-Performance lessons:
    • 3 Cycles: Tuesdays and Thursdays
      • May  to June  – 7 weeks
      • July  to August  – 7 weeks
      • August  to October  – 5 weeks
    • Tuesdays and Fridays each week
    • 120 minutes: from 5:00 to 7:00 PM
    • Maximum attendance: 8 on 2 courts
    • Play levels: xxx and up
    • Participants age: max. 12
