Stuart Perkins – Director of Tennis
Meet an experienced tennis coach with a passion for the game like no other. With over a decade of experience coaching players of all levels, Stuart is excited to bring his expertise to the Henry Farm tennis community as Director of Tennis Operations.
Stuart’s credentials speak for themselves. He’s a Tennis Canada certified Coach 3 and a licensed Professional Engineer (P. Eng), meaning that he’s recognized both by the tennis and engineering world. He has developed a keen understanding of how science can be applied to improve performance and enhance player development. As a scholarship player on the Florida Tech tennis team (NCAA Div 2), he distinguished himself while pursuing his Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
But Stuart is not just about producing champions. He’s passionate about fostering a love for the game and building players’ skills to help them achieve their full potential. He believes that every player is unique and tailors his coaching approach to suit each player’s individual needs.
Stuart’s coaching style is all about collaboration. This is evident from his numerous past coaching assignments as the Head Coach for school and community development in Edmonton, Team Alberta Coach at the Canadian Junior Nationals or as private coach to national level juniors in Alberta and Ontario. He believes in working closely with players to understand their goals and develop a plan to achieve them. He’s committed to creating a positive environment that’s both challenging and fun.
